Model Base System for Marine Fishery Services is a type of software system which can classify and maintain a large number of models in the f ield of marine fishery, and support their generation, storage, query, running and analysis. This system can be ut ilized to perform quick report and forecast of sea and f ishing conditions, stock assessment and forecast of marine fishery resources, and marine f ishery management. This paper first analyses the models in the field of marine f ishery. Then it deals with the concept , make up and basic funct ions of Model Base System. The framework architecture of Model Base System for Marine Fishery Services and its implementation process are presented. This paper also presents applications of the system to the f ield of marine f ishery. Finally the conclusions are drawn and the future developments of Model Base System for Marine Fishery Services are prospected.
