Afterfishing products of Huayuan lake have been investigated, the population structureand the food composition of argus have been analysed. It is considered that thefish may be reserved as a kind of specially utilizable fish for native people underpresent eoologic conditions of Huayua.n lake, because it is not much harmful toother commercial fishes in the lake and can also restrain masa reproduczng ofsmall wild fishes which are main food of Q. argus.
