    • STUDIES ON THE HEREDITARY PROPERTY OF JIAN CARP

      Abstract:Jian carp (Cyprinus carpio var. jian) developed by comprehensive breeding technique was a new variety with greyish,good fingue,strong disease resistance and delicious taste. The variety grew fast and expressed excellent hereditary properties in aquaculture. The individual and group weight gaines of the Jian carp were higher than Hebao red carp (Cyprinus carpio var. wuyunensis) by 141. 55-250. 82%and 154. 41-256. 70%, Yuangkiang carp (Cyprinus carpio yuankiang) by 80. 46-96. 71%and 93. 30-100. 38%,and Heyuang carp(Cyprinus carpio var. wuyunensis♀X C. carpio yuankiang )by 40. 34-42. 53%and 42. 08-44. 57%,respectively. Jian carp could attain the market size within one year and its growth rate was higher than other common carp by 30% too. As the stability and identity of main hereditary properties for Jian carp had reached above 99%,this new variety was able to self-reproduction. The LDH and EST of Jian carp had its particular biochemical hereditary properties and stability.

      Abstract:The antibacterial activity of 24 kinds of drug towards prawn vibriosis caused vibrio(Z8809) was studied. The minimal inhibition concentration (MIC) and the minimal bacteriocide concentration (MBC) of some drugs against the disease,the effective time of the drugs towards the strain in seawater,and the effect of germ concentration on the value o1 MIC were reported in this paper. The consequences resulting from incorret use of drug were discussed. Emphases were put on the importance and urgency of practising the technique of ecological control in preventing and curing microbial disease of Penaeus.

      Abstract:he mitochondria) DNA(mtDNA)of silver carp were digested by 11 restriction endonucleases which were Bam I,Bgl I,Bgl B,EcoR I,Hpa I,Kpn I,Pst I, Sac I,Sal I,Xba I and Xho I .The fragments cleaved by these enzymes are 3,4,0,4,2,1, 1,1,0,2 and 1,respectively. The mtDNA of bighead were digested by restriction endonucleases Bgl I,Bgl B,Hpa I,Rpn I,Pst I,Sac I,Sal I,Xba I and Xho I into 4,1, 2,1,1,3,1,2 and 1 fragments,respectively. The sizes of mtDNA were estimated by agarose gel electrophoresis and they are 15930士220 by for silver carp and 16650士150bp for bighead. The maps of 9 restriction endonucleases for silver carp(18 cleaved sites)and bighead(16 cleaved sites) were constructed after digesting by the single,double or partial enzyme. The paper also compared the enzyme-digested sites,the size of fragment and the maps of restriction endonucleased between both fishes.

      Abstract:虹缚传染性造血器官坏死症是一种危害严重的鱼类病毒病,在北美、日本、欧洲及我国台湾等国家和地区均有报导。1990年作者曾分离出传染性造血器官坏死症病毒中国本溪株((IHNV-B),并报道如何应用ELISA法快速检测该病毒[赵志壮等,1993。为了找出各地病毒株之间及强弱毒株之间的抗原差异,以及进一步采用McAb-ELISA法快速检测该病毒打下基础,减轻其危害,本实验应用杂交瘤技术,制备出能够持续分泌IHN V-B病毒单克隆抗体(McAb )的杂交瘤细胞株,现简报如下。

      Abstract:海岸潮间带生物量分布的研究,是水产科学研究的重要课题之一。以往关于这个课题的研究,通常是分开几个岸段进行,所得的结论都是针对某个岸段的。但就不同岸段潮间带生物量分布而言,应是某些共同因素所形成的结果。因此,对不同岸段潮间带生物量分布作系统的综合分析,找出共同的影响因素,在水产科学理论研究和实践中,都有其指导作用和参考价值。

      Abstract:贝类三倍体具有不育、生长快、抗病力强以及成活率高等特点,并可以缩短养殖周期,提高单位面积产量。人工诱导贝类三倍体的研究工作起步较晚,但进展迅速,在短短几年内,国外已先后在美洲牡蝎(Crassostreavirginica)[Stanley等,1981]、海湾扇贝(Argopecten irradians)[Tabarini等,1984]等十几种贝类获得成功。在我国已成功地诱导出合浦珠母贝(Pinctada fucata)[姜卫国等,1987、皱纹盘鲍(Haliotis discus hannai )[王子臣等,1990j,栉孔扇贝(Chlamys farreri farreri )[王子臣等,1990]和虾夷扇贝(Patinopecton yessoensis)[王子臣等,1990]的三倍体。

      Abstract:近年来,由于水产养殖业迅速发展和养殖管理上存在问题,在全国20多个省、市渔区暴发了鱼类细菌性败血病,对渔业生产影响极大,受到水产工作者密切关注。我们为此于1990-1992年,分别对本市松江县、青浦县和江苏省昊江市的鱼池水生生物作不定期采样调查。本文就鱼池水生生物的种类和丰度对鱼池水质与细菌性鱼病的关系作了探讨。

      Abstract:硒((Se)是动物体必需的微量元素,但过量的Se会对动物产生毒性,并有可能致癌。硒作为营养元素所起的作用似乎是保护细胞免受损伤。Se可影响其它有毒元素诸如Hg的积累,并与Cd有拮抗作用[王夔等,1988]。国外学者报道了一些海产生物体内Se的含量[Lunde, 1970; MacKay等,1975; Sandholm等,1973].但关于饲料Se元素对中国对虾(Penaeus chinensis)生长及其体内含量影响的综合性研究尚未见报道。本文则主要报道这方面的研究结果。

      Abstract:龟足隶属于蔓足亚纲Cirripedia龟足属Pollicipes,本属共5个种,我国仅龟足Pollicipes mitella一种[刘瑞玉和任先秋,1985]。龟足肉质细嫩,味鲜美,是人们喜食的一种有较高经济价值的海鲜。国外对有柄蔓足类(龟足等)生活史[Lewis, 1975a]、幼虫培育[Lewis, 1975b]研究较少,国内尚未见这方面报道。本文对幼虫室内培育条件作了初步探讨,为今后人工增养殖研究提供基础资料。

      Abstract:海蚕(Rhopilcma esculenta Kishinouye, 1891)是经济价值很高的大型食用水母,主要分布于中国、日本、朝鲜沿岸以及前苏联远东水域,它历来是我国沿岸渔业的一种重要捕捞对象。自1981年揭示海重生活史〔丁耕芜、陈介康,1981〕以来,对它的研究逐步深入,目前已完全掌握了人工育苗技术。但是,关于腔肠动物中染色体的研究,仅有褐水媳与绿水媳}Rahat等,1985〕和珊瑚纲(Anthozoa)中三个种Goniopora lobata [Heyward,1985].Rhelliactis robustaAmphianthus radiatus [Van-Praet,等1985]的染色体的报道,尚未见有关根口水母(Rhizostomeae)染色体的研究。本文利用水媳形态的媳状幼体和水母形态的蝶状幼体体细胞初步探讨了海蚕的染色体,得到了较理想的效果。

    • STUDIES ON SEX CONTROL IN ALLOGYNOGENETIC CRUCIAN CARP

      Abstract:The effect of feeding 17a-methyltestosterone(400 and 800ppm)over a period of 45 days,starting with 3-day-old fry,or. growth and gonadal developme. of allogynogenetic crucian carp was investigated. After the treatment, the tested fish was reared with hormone-free diet for one year. The experimental results are as folhws:Oral administration of 17a-MT at 400 and 800 ppm resulted in a high percentage of sterile fish. The ratio of sterile fish was 3.71 times and 3.40 times as high as control group. In comparison with the control group,the mean body weight in two experimental groups increased by 16%and 11%,respectively. The mean gonadosomatic index decreased by 45.5%and 24.500,and the mean percentage of dress-out increased by 6.5%and 5.0 %,respectively. Any germ cells were not been found in the thread-like gonad of sterile fish. The results suggest that oral administration of 17a methyltestosterone at 400 ppm and 800 ppm to allogynogenetic crucian carp fry would result in androgenic castration and production of sterile fish,especially at the 400 ppm. The level of testosterone in serum and muscle of two experimental groups had no significant difference with control group,indicating the hormone-treated fish do not contain any residual hormones and they are quite safe for humanconsumption.

    • THE INFLUENCES OF COMMON CARP INTESTINAL BACTERIA AND ITS AMYLASES ON THE HOST DIGESTION

      Abstract:This paper deals with the influence of intestinal bacteria on common carp (Cyprinus carpio) and bacterial amylases on the host digestion. Sixty three strains of bacteriahave been isolated from carp intestines and intestinal foods in this connection. Thedistribution of amylase and hemolysin producing strains among the intestinal bacteria has also been investigated. The distribution of amylase producing strains is broad,while that of hemolysin is narrow,and these hemolysin producing strains are not lethal to fish. These results indicate that there were no pathogens among the intestinal bacteria obtained in this experiment. Furthermore,the carp amylase had an apparent optimal pH of 7. 6 and worked well between 7. 2 to 8. 0. The CCI 139 (one strain whose production of amylase was higher than that of other strains)amylase had an apparec}t optimal pH of 8. 8 and worked well between 8. 4 to 9. 4,while the pH of instestinal mixture ranged from 6. 0-7. 0. Finally,the in situ reaction of amylases after SDS-PAGE has convinced that there were bacterial amylases in carp intestinal mixture. The results mentioned above show that there are stable microflora in common carp intestines and bacterial amylases play a promoting effect on starch digestion by host.

      Abstract:In this paper a research was made on the age,growth and feeding habits of Japanese sea-bass,Lateolabrax japonicus (Cuvier et Valencinnes).Samples were collected monthly from the estuary of Yangtze River in 1986 and 1987. The scales were applied to determine the age of fish. The relationship between its body weight,W ( kg)and body length,L(cm) can be expressed by the formula:W=0. 0605L2.6346 (r=0. 9878).The relationship between its age,T and length,L can be expressed by the equation:Lt= 100. 9957[1-e-0.1768(t+0.7633)]. The age,T and weight,W relationship can be denoted by theequation:Wt=11542. 26[1一e-0.1768(t+0.7633)]2.6346. The growth inflection point is at tr=4. 7。corresponding to W=3281. 4gm. This fish is a prodatory one and its feeding habits vary with age. At early young stage it feeds on zooplankton. As the time went on,its foods have relevantly changed and then the foods graduate into shrimps,fish and isopods. The adult feeds on fish and shrimps. Small fish and shrimps are abundant in estuary of Yangtze River and most foods of Japanese sea-bass are smaller fish and shrimps. This may be the reason as it grows up faster than that of other waters. Therefore protaction and propagation of the fishery resources of Japanese sea-bass in estary of Yangtze River are important.

    • PRELIMINARY STUDIES ON ENERGY BUDGET AND UTILIZATION EFFICIENCY OF MACROBRACHIUM NIPPONENSIS

      Abstract:he effects of main environmental factors(temperature,salinity)on energy utilization efficiency and energy budget of Macrobrachium nipponensis feeding on Bellamya sp. were studied by means of experimental ecological methodoligies. An equation of energy budget of M. nipponensis feeding on Bellamya sp. was established. The results indicated that the energy used for assimilation and growth accounted for 80. 7%and 34. 7% of total energy consumption respectively. It demonstrated that Bellamya sp. meat was anexcellent natural diet for the shrimps. The meat with high energy can be easily digested and absorbed by the shrimps. The study also indicated that expenditure of metabolic and excretion energy would be minimized when water temperature is 25 `C and salinity,3%0. The paper also reported the effect of rate of feeding and body weight of M. nipponensis on its specific dynamic action (SDA)and proposed that the studies on the bioenergetics is an effective way to improve the culture yield and economic efficiency of famous and special reared species.

      Abstract:The viscera of three species of freshwater fish,grass carp,bream and silver carp,were used as raw material for fish oil extraction in this study. Emphasis was put on the conditions for visceral oil extracting technology. The method of water bath extraction was employed,and extraction efficiency and quality of oil were evaluated. Selecting time,temperature and the amount of alkali added as main parameters in the orthogonal design,the optimum parameters for visceral oil extraction from the freshwater fish were established. Thus,they will be helpful to the pilot-scale production.
